Frequently asked questions
What audio formats are supported?
MP3, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG, WAV, OPUS, and WMA. The tool reads embedded tags using the music-metadata library.
Is my audio file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read entirely within your browser. Nothing is sent to any server.
Why are some tags missing?
Not all tags are present in every file. Tags must be embedded by a tagger or music management app like MusicBrainz Picard, iTunes, or Mp3tag.
Can I edit the metadata?
Not in this tool. This viewer is read-only. For editing tags, use a dedicated tool like Mp3tag or MusicBrainz Picard.
