OFPlayer for Android: your library, in your pocket
A native Android app for the music on your phone, your NAS, your Navidrome server and your computer. Start listening without an account; your files stay on your own devices and servers.
Key features
- Local music
- NAS and Navidrome
- Stream from your PC
- Listen Together
Highlights
Local music
Add music folders on your phone, subfolders included, and browse by album and artist. FLAC, MP3, M4A/AAC, OGG, Opus and WAV play, and you can filter by several formats at once.
NAS and Navidrome
Add a WebDAV or Subsonic source to browse and play music kept on a NAS, a home server or Navidrome.
Stream from your PC
Pair with OFPlayer for Windows on the same Wi-Fi, play the computer’s library on your phone, then hand playback back to the desktop.
Listen Together
Enter the six-digit code a friend sends you and hear the same song at the same moment. Listen Together is in testing.
Made for a personal collection
The Android app plays through Media3, keeps playing in the background and works from the notification. Make the song list and lyrics your own: text size, weight, line spacing, alignment and what is shown, with a live preview in Settings.
Download and install
Open the download page
Choose OFPlayer for Android on the download page and get the APK. The page shows the version, file size and SHA256 checksum.

The first time you install an app from your browser, Android asks to allow installing unknown apps. Follow the system prompt.
Add your music
Open the app and add music from the top of the library: pick a folder on your phone, add a WebDAV or Subsonic server, or connect to your computer.

Frequently asked questions
Is OFPlayer for Android free?
Downloading and everyday listening are free, with no account needed. The free version has 2 libraries and 10 playlists; more libraries, unlimited playlists, and streaming and handoff with your PC come with OFPlayer Pro or an OFPlayer Hub subscription.
Why isn’t it on Google Play?
For now the Android app is available as an APK from the OFPlayer website; a Google Play release is not out yet. The website build checks for and downloads new versions itself.
Which devices does it support?
Phones and tablets with Android 12 or later and a 64-bit ARM processor. The website offers an arm64-v8a package, which covers most Android devices from recent years.
Can it play music from my NAS or Navidrome?
Yes. A WebDAV source lets you browse a NAS by folder, and a Subsonic source connects to Navidrome and compatible services. Compatibility depends on the server.
How does it work with OFPlayer on my computer?
Open Settings › Devices on the computer and enable pairing. On the phone, choose the discovered computer, scan the QR code or enter the pairing code. After the library syncs, the phone plays the computer’s music and can hand playback back.
